The School Situation

Covid was also quite unpredictable at times because just when I thought it would blow over some variant or another would pop up and produce a new rise in cases. If I had to describe this time period in my life in one word, I would use the word frustration. I think frustration best suits this time period because most daily-life habits and options are being changed or removed in nonoptimal ways that made me rethink how I should go about my day. Teacher interaction was also difficult as my modes of asking for help were very limited as I had to wait on receiving an email that I sometimes would not get. Schooling was also a tricky bit. In my school, during the 20-21 school year, we were fully remote with the option to go to school for a few days towards the end of the year. The tricky part with this was that although the schedules were nice and learning was easier (my preference), there was no real learning for some people, as they need a structured environment in order to be able to concentrate on completing a set task. Although I felt very comfortable learning at home as I was already very structured in my planning and daily schedule and was able to comfortably finish assignments and tests, I missed the interactions with teachers and friends and ability to participate in many clubs. Therefore, to support my educational interests, I read more online books covering the topics of science fiction and nonfiction.
